Girls’ Recreational

  • Length: 60 Minutes / 90 Minutes / 120 Minutes

A skill-based program with progressive skill development. We use on-going evaluation to ensure appropriate progression and placement from Beginner to Advanced. In the spring, if recommended by the coach, gymnasts may have an opportunity to try out for the competitive team.

Girls Beginner is the entry-level girls' recreational class. Gymnasts are taught basic gymnastic fundamentals, skills, techniques, and listening skills. Instructors work with gymnasts each week based on a curriculum designed to safely introduce gymnastic equipment, skills, strength development, and coordination. During the class, athletes will hone in skills on two different events each week, alternating events every other week.

Cost: $100/4-week Month or $125/5-week Month.

Girls Intermediate follows passing the Beginner curriculum. Gymnasts should have beginner skills mastered and will continue to learn new, more difficult skills, techniques, etc. Further gymnastics equipment will be introduced by the instructors. During the class, athletes will work on skill development on three different events each week.

Cost: $130/4-week Month or $162.50/5-week Month.

Girls Advanced is the highest level of the girls’ recreational curriculum. Gymnasts should have the intermediate skills and gymnastics vocabulary mastered. Classes will have more strength and flexibility incorporated. Instructors will continue to work on a weekly basis with gymnasts to progress skills to higher level elements such as back-handsprings, front-handsprings, etc. The athletes in this class will work on skill development on all four events each week. This is a non-competitive class with skills that would be used in competition.

Cost: $175/4-week Month or $218.75/5-week Month.
